Type Locality and Naming

Along the Tyulkin section, Shokhetau mountains, N. Nuratau ridge. R.R. Usmanov et al. in 1993 (Korsakov et al., 1993f.). Stratotype in the Shokhetau mountains, Tyulkin section area.

Lithology and Thickness

Light, layered and flaggy, aphinitic and oolitic limestones, flaggy dolomites. Thickness 300-540m.

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Kulandzhaylau Fm

Upper contact

Conformably overlain by the Korumbay Fm. (460).

Northern Nuratau ridge, Shokhetau mountains.
